2/5/10....Several New Pugs have arrived needing new homes & Brocoli Needs Heartworm Treatment

In Loving Memory of some very special babies lost in 2009 & 2010

Maggi Moo Maggs was a dear little girl.  She was 13 when we got her and we had her a few years.  She was personality plus and wiggled her way into several hearts.  It's not the same without her but we will see her again.  We miss you baby girl.  Lisa, Jane and Trish

Poppy was with us for a brief time but made a lifelong impression in our hearts.  He was as sweet as they come and smart as a whip. We were blessed to have had him for as long as we did.  Poppy was 12 years old. We will always love our Poppy and will be happy to be reunited.  Lisa, Monica, Terry

Eli Sweet Precious Eli defied the odds as a puppy only expected to live a few years lived 11 happy years.  There will never be a sweeter boy and we will miss him but he will remain in our hearts forever

Lisa and Misti

Thomas H. Clark

Thomas was a dear person.  One of the most compassionate I have ever met.  His dogs were his life and he was their life.  Such a tragedy for such a good kind person to leave us so young at only 41 years old.  Thomas please take care of the pugs until we get up there to help you.  I miss you bunches.

Lisa

Mr. Pete

Mr. Pete was sweet sweet sweet. Mr. Pete was 12 years old. Just another dear boy that loved his daddy, brothers and sisters.  Mr. Pete your daddy loved you dearly and misses you.

Pete was owned and loved by Bill

Momo came to us 5 years ago at 7 years old with a spinal injury leaving him paralyzed in the hind quarters.  momo got around great in his cart and lived a full life not even knowing he was handicapped.  Unfortunately his body was just too compromised from his handicap for a senior dog.  However, 12 years for a dog in his condition is pretty amazing.  There will never be another Momo...so forgiving...so sweet...and never complained....just did what he could and appreciated the love he got in return.  Momie....my heart broke in half when God took you but it will be OK because I will see you again.  You can walk again baby boy!  I miss you....Lisa

Tammy Carrico

Tammy was only 38 years old another good person way to young.  Her dogs were her life too.  Such a kind sweet person with a big heart.  Tammy,  Sassy is doing great, I am sorry your family did not honor your final wishes.  Lisa

Ben

Ben was a precious 10 year old pug.  He came from the shelter and was loved by Sarah breifly a couple of months but he was sick and went to rainbow bridge way too soon. He was loved by everyone that met him especially his mommy.  He will be in her heart forever.Ben was loved and owned by Sarah Nordstrom

Franki formerly known as Bridgette lost her battle with cancer in November.  Her mom Tracy adopted her knowing her time would be short....for that they were both blessed and we will remember Franki forever and her mom misses her dearly.  Despite all she had been through she was a happy loving girl.  She never complained and was just grateful to have been given those extra month and a chance.Franki was loved and owned by Tracy

November 17,2009

Just when I were about to give up on humanity many wonderful people stepped up and adopted the wonderful seniors needing new homes and many wonderful people donated to help pay the significant medical bills for so many of the dogs needing extensive medical work.  I am just so grateful and thankful there are so many wonderful people still out there especially in this day and time of so much negative!!

Thank you all so very much - Lisa Farrell

NO PUG LEFT BEHIND - Laurell K. Hamilton Sanctuary for Special Pugs

The Laurell K. Hamilton Sanctuary is dedicated to Laurell's dear companion

In Loving Memory of Jimmy

This site is dedicated to my best friend of almost 15 years.  He is the one who taught me the kind, loving, giving, special soul of a pug and made me realize that no pug should ever be homeless that all pugs and all dogs should be loved and respected just as they love and respect us.  If only all humans had the love and compassion as a pug....JB was a human in a pug suit trying to make the world a better place and he succeeded.  So many people and dogs alike were blessed to know this special creature from above.  JB, if loved could have saved you,  you would have lived forever......and you do live forever in my heart and soul....I can't wait to see you again my precious precious boy.
